Our Fabrication Projects
fabART Fabrication Projects
fabART was incorporated as a fabrication Automation, Robotics and Technology company knowing that there is an immense gap in the Engineering output and production capability. The inherited equipment physical limitations were being challenged and information sharing has become the need of the hour. Limitations are opportunities.
plate nesting
Currently plate nesting for flanges and webs are done manually and laid out on the plate prior to shearing. Using automated nesting and then marking the plates prior to shearing ensured optimum material usage with tracking in the big shear (6.2M x 14 mm capacity).
laser seam tracking
Built Up member H – beam welding using laser seam tracking. A first in the industry it aims to optimize the welding and take the manual inaccuracy out of the process.
Built-Up beams
R&D on to produce curved and twisted Built-Up beams for Architectural freedom in steel structures.
Hot rolled beams
Layout marking on Hot rolled beams, End Plate and Splice Plate connections. This makes the fabricator’s job a simple match of plate to beam and tack the two immediately. Manual layout is eliminated. These machines exist today!
Robotic welding
Robotic welding of standard components onto beam. After tack welding the components to the beam, traditionally the welder arc time is only 25%. Also maintaining the fillet size has a phenomenal effect on the welder’s deposition and linear meters welded. Robots will improve the welding output by considerable margin to improve overall productivity.
structural beams
Automated painting of PEB and structural beams. Airless painting has a typical 55% transfer efficiency. When built-up crosses 2000 MT per month and compounded by multi-coat paint systems, an automated painting solution is the only way to ensure quality and productivity.
Purlin laps
Purlin laps have been traditionally at 350 and 700 mm laps. To have variable laps means to sacrifice the productivity by upto 50%. With a ground breaking invention, the laps are truly stepless and productivity is maintained at 2 purlins/minute for a typical 8 M purlin.
fabART New Projects
Apart from these Steel fabrication processes, fabART is venturing into a full electric servo Injection Moulding Machine control system to take full advantage of the latest servo systems that are much more productive and still saving precious electrical energy.
fabART Rehabilitation Projects
fabART is working to bring back to life any fabrication related machine / process whose control systems are obsolete and need replacement. More importantly upgrades take full advantage of control and information systems inherent in control systems today. Eliminate manual drawings and lists to input into machines and manual production reports!
fabART is your consultant for setting up a new Pre-Engineered Building or Structural Steel fabrication facility or to revolutionize the operational efficiency of an existing one by undertaking strategic projects given below.
